Recently, our university dispatched teachers Bao Lu, Mao Jiangping, and Liu Hanqiang from the College of Horticulture, as well as Li Hua and Liang Hongsong from the College of Economics and Management, to the Tashkent Campus to carry out professional teaching.

According to the training program of the Tashkent Campus, the College of Horticulture offered two core courses this semester for the 2024 cohort of Master’s students in Horticulture: Horticulture Advances and Molecular Plant Breeding, focusing on cutting-edge knowledge in horticultural science and modern plant breeding. The three instructors carefully prepared their lessons based on the students’ actual needs, creating visually rich and engaging PowerPoint Slides. During teaching, they adopted a bilingual-assisted instructional approach to ensure that students with different language abilities could fully understand the course content. The classes featured lively interactions, with students actively discussing the potential for China–Uzbekistan cooperation in horticultural technology and crop breeding. The teaching outcomes were remarkable.

The two instructors from the College of Economics and Management taught the course Frontiers and Practice in Management. Focusing on the theme of “Frontiers and Practice in Management”, they explained the latest theories in contemporary management and industry best-practice cases in a clear and accessible manner. Through engaging case analyses and interactive discussions, they guided students to think critically and explore the challenges and opportunities faced by enterprises in the context of globalization. This helped broaden the students’ international perspectives and enhance their awareness and competence in cross-cultural management. The classroom atmosphere was lively, and students participated enthusiastically. They gave high praise to the instructors’ teaching styles and professional expertise. One local student commented, “This course gave me a completely new understanding of management. The teachers’ explanations were clear and easy to follow, and the cases were rich and practical. I benefited greatly from it.”
Abduvasikov Abduaziz Abdulazizovich, Vice Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, highly praised the teaching work carried out by our university’s faculty. He noted that Northwest A&F University has brought high-quality educational resources to the Tashkent Campus, marking not only the beginning of cooperation between the two institutions but also injecting new momentum into the advancement of agricultural education in Uzbekistan. The teaching activities undertaken by our faculty at the Tashkent Campus received extensive coverage from Uzbekistan’s national news television channel O‘zbekiston 24 and O’zbekiston MTRK, the national television and radio company of Uzbekistan. Liu Hanqiang, a young teacher from the College of Horticulture, gave a detailed introduction to the establishment and educational philosophy of the Tashkent Campus. The media attention has further enhanced our university’s visibility in China–Central Asia agricultural science and education cooperation, while also showcasing the positive outcomes and broad prospects of China–Uzbekistan agricultural science and technology cooperation.
This overseas teaching program not only showcased our faculty’s teaching excellence and academic strength but also provided valuable experience for enhancing international educational exchange and cooperation. Looking ahead, our university will carry out the implementation of the consensus reached by the Chinese and Uzbek heads of state, ensure the high-quality development of the Tashkent Campus, and consistently dispatch faculty members to carry out teaching and academic exchange there. We will strive to provide students of the Tashkent Campus with high-quality professional courses and educational resources, pragmatically promote the coordinated development and deep integration of the two universities in agricultural science and education, and build a model for Belt and Road agricultural science and education cooperation.
