On May 12, Mr. Wu Congcong, Chairman of the Board of Shaanxi Agricultural Development Group, led a delegation to conduct an on-site visit of the development and operation status of the Tashkent Campus NWAFU, to gain an in-depth understanding of the Campus’ educational achievements and the progress of China-Uzbekistan agricultural science and technology cooperation. The delegation’s visit was facilitated by Chinese language teaching volunteers at the Tashkent Campus NWAFU.
During the visit, Mr. Wu Congcong and the delegation visited the smart classroom of the campus, where they were briefed on the development history, operational model, and current achievements of the Tashkent Campus NWAFU. They paid particular attention to the curriculum design, faculty allocation, enrollment and training model, as well as teaching organization and support mesurement. The delegation fully affirmed the accomplishments made by the campus in basing itself on Uzbekistan’s agricultural development needs, actively promoting China-Uzbekistan higher agricultural and forestry education cooperation, and serving the cultivation of agricultural talents under the Belt and Road Initiative. At the China-Uzbekistan Fruit Tree Improved Variety Breeding Technology Demonstration Park, the delegation gained a detailed understanding of the application of key technologies such as apple branch bending and shaping, standardized harvesting, improved variety breeding, and horticultural cultivation management. They also held discussions on topics including the demonstration and promotion of modern agricultural technologies, the translation of high-quality germplasm resources into practical applications, and university-enterprise collaborative innovation.
This visit has further strengthened the communication and ties between NWAFU and the Shaanxi Agricultural Development Group in the fields of international agricultural education, technological demonstration, and the translation of research outcomes into practical applications. It has also laid a solid foundation for the Tashkent Campus NWAFU to expand university-enterprise cooperation and enhance its capacity to serve China-Uzbekistan agricultural cooperation.
