On March 26, the 2026 Tashkent Campus Spring Camp Interview was successfully held in Uzbekistan. More than 80 students from renowned Uzbekistan universities including Tashkent State Agrarian University and Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) applied for the interviews. Abduvasikov Abduaziz Abdulazizovich, Vice Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, and Muxtarov Fikrat Abdullajonovich, Director of the International Office, attended the event.
The interview was conducted by Chinese language teachers and volunteer instructors of Tashkent Campus. The assessment focused on the students’ comprehensive quality, including their attitudes towards China, understanding of China-Uzbekistan agricultural cooperation, intended majors applied for at Tashkent Campus, and English communication skills. It also aimed to fully grasp the students’ professional interests, development potential and willingness to participate. Based on the planned major layout for the current admission year and the student source needs of professional teaching colleges, 9 students were finally selected to participate in the Spring Camp after comprehensive evaluation and merit-based selection. The interviews were well-organized with standardized procedures and orderly conduct. The selected students delivered an excellent overall performance, demonstrating strong learning enthusiasm, clear professional planning and active attention to China-Uzbekistan agricultural cooperation and exchanges. This not only reflects the great appeal of Tashkent Campus among young Uzbek students, but also lays a solid foundation for selecting high-quality student sources and expanding the influence of the program in the follow-up.

Since the launch of this Spring Camp, promotional activities have been continuously carried out on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Telegram, attracting extensive attention from students of many universities in Uzbekistan. In a short period of time, the total number of followers of the Campus’s relevant social media accounts has exceeded 8,000, and the page views of related content have reached 60,000, further expanding the publicity coverage and social attention.
Prior to the interviews, students who participated in the 2025 Winter Camp of Tashkent Campus came to the venue to carry out promotion. Combining their ownstudy and exchange experience in China, they introduced the content of the Winter Camp, their feelings about study and life at the university, and their understanding of China’s higher agricultural education to the applicants. This enhanced the applicants’ understanding of the programs of Tashkent Campus and effectively boosted the on-site atmosphere and the effectiveness of the event. Through peer communication and experience sharing, the students’ sense of identity and enthusiasm for participating in the Spring Camp were further strengthened, creating a favorable atmosphere for the smooth development of the subsequent postgraduate selection work.
