On May 14, the Tashkent Campus NWAFU was invited to attend the 2026 China-Central Asia Human Rights Development Forum, which was co-organized by the China Foundation for Human Rights Development and the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan and held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The forum, themed “Jointly Promoting Human Rights Progress through High-Quality Development,” brought together nearly 100 participants, including officials, experts, and scholars in the field of human rights from China and five Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Representative of the Tashkent Campus NWAFU delivered a speech themed on “The Building and Practice of a China-Central Asia Community with a Shared Future for Higher Agricultural and Forestry Education”, systematically elaborated on the practical achievements made by NWAFU in serving the Chinese national strategy of opening up education to the world, deepening China-Central Asia cooperation in agricultural education, science and technology, and advancing the construction and operation of the Tashkent Campus NWAFU. The speech highlighted that the Tashkent Campus NWAFU, leveraging seven specialized colleges of NWAFU, has established nine enrollment programs, including Agronomy and Seed Industry, Plant Protection, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Management, Agricultural Engineering and Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Technology, and Biology and Medicine. It has enrolled a total of 50 students across two cohorts. The campus will develop a cross-border agricultural postgraduate training model characterized by “dual integration, dual drivers, four-dimensional synergy, and mutual understanding and affinity.” It will make every effort to build the “Study at NWAFU” brand and strive to become a globally influential international education center for arid agriculture.
Moving forward, the Tashkent Campus will cultivate more high-level talents for Central Asian countries who have a deep understanding of and friendship toward China, and who are committed to serving the modernization of regional agriculture, thereby contributing the strength of NWAFU to promoting high-quality development of China-Central Asia relations and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
