On September 8, Tashkent Campus NWAFU launched Chinese language instruction for the 2025 cohort of jointly trained graduate students. Teacher Zhang Naidan from the College of Language and Culture, along with graduate students Deng Shufang and Zhang Fei, fully participated in the four-month Chinese teaching program for the branch’s graduate students and the Tashkent Chinese Language Education Center during the fall semester.
Forty new students, full of anticipation, entered the carefully arranged Chinese classroom, adorned with elements of Chinese culture, officially beginning their journey of learning Chinese. After a brief self-introduction session, the first class commenced. The opening lesson, “Understanding China,” was tailored for students who were new to Chinese culture and had limited Chinese language skills but possessed strong English communication abilities. Teacher Zhang Naidan adopted a bilingual teaching approach in both English and Chinese, achieving effective teaching results. In subsequent classes, faculty members from the College of Language and Culture will continue to leverage their language expertise, actively participate in the development of Tashkent Campus NWAFU, strengthen collaboration and in-depth exchanges with Tashkent State Agrarian University, and regularly organize activities such as Chinese cultural festivals, Chinese corners, and tea art appreciation, fully promoting the dissemination of Chinese culture.
Since 2024, the College of Language and Culture has consecutively dispatched outstanding teaching teams to Tashkent State Agrarian University to carry out international Chinese language instruction and intercultural exchange activities. The Tashkent Chinese Language Education Center was established, laying a solid foundation for cultural exchange and collaboration between the two universities. This teaching team adopts a combined faculty-and-student model and will engage in long-term, sustained international Chinese language teaching, providing continuous language instruction support for the branch campus.
