On June 25, Huang Yan, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, led a delegation to visit Tashkent Campus NWAFU. They conducted an on-site inspection of the branch’s teaching conditions and infrastructure renovation projects and extended warm greetings to the first cohort of enrolled students. Officials from the Ministry’s Department of International Cooperation, Department of Regional Cooperation Promotion, and Department of Laws and Regulations also participated in the visit.

Huang Yan fully affirmed our university’s proactive efforts and practical achievements in implementing the diplomatic outcomes between the Chinese and Uzbek heads of state and in actively supporting the Belt and Road Initiative. She highly praised the Sino-foreign cooperative education model of Tashkent Campus NWAFU. Huang noted that Northwest A&F University has a strong foundation in agricultural science and technology. By leveraging its disciplinary strengths—particularly in key areas such as saline-alkali land management, water-saving irrigation, and crop breeding—the university has deepened China-Uzbekistan cooperation and promoted the transformation and application of agricultural science and technology achievements in Uzbekistan. She expressed hope that, relying on high-level platforms such as Tashkent Campus NWAFU and overseas agricultural science and technology demonstration parks, the university could strengthen scientific collaboration and joint talent cultivation, tell compelling stories of Chinese agricultural universities going global, comprehensively showcase China’s agricultural reform and development achievements, and inject new momentum into China-Uzbekistan agricultural cooperation. During her interaction with students, Huang encouraged them to study in China, gain a deeper understanding of the real China, and become young ambassadors who “know China, befriend China, and love China.” She urged them to visit rural areas in China, learn from China’s experiences in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, broaden their horizons, and enhance their capabilities.

During the visit, Huang Yan also met with Oblomuradov Narzullo Naimovich, Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, to gain an in-depth understanding of the history of cooperation between the two universities. She encouraged further expansion of substantive collaboration and faculty-student exchanges, aiming to establish a model for China-Uzbekistan cooperation in agricultural science, technology, and talent development.
