On May 27, 2026, the Postgraduate Program Validation Meeting for Tashkent Campus NWAFU was successfully held at the International Exchange Center, Room 317. The meeting was hosted by Hu Xiaohui, Dean of the College of International Education and President of Tashkent Campus NWAFU. The validation expert group consisted of Prof. Tian Xiaohong, Prof. Xia Xianli, Prof. Yang Peizhi, and Prof. Li Shuqin. Heads of the participating colleges responsible for enrollment, including the College of Agronomy, College of Plant Protection, College of Horticulture, College of Animal Science and Technology, College of Information Engineering, College of Life Sciences, and College of Economics and Management, attended the meeting.
The meeting aimed to fully implement the spirit of the “Guiding Opinions on the Revision of the 2026 Postgraduate Training Programs of Northwest A&F University” (Graduate School Document No.1, 2026). Based on the actual development status of Tashkent Campus NWAFU, it conducted a systematic validation of the training programs for the nine enrollment fields of the Campus, ensuring that they not only meet the university’s quality standards for postgraduate education but also precisely align with the agricultural development needs of Uzbekistan and the Central Asian region.
Hu Xiaohui first outlined the background of the meeting and the work requirements. She pointed out that, as a key pillar of NWAFU’s ‘Belt and Road educational initiative’, the training programs for Tashkent Campus NWAFU must be developed with top-tier standards and a solid foundation. It is imperative to resolutely abandon the simple copying of NWAFU’s domestic training model and to fully reflect the characteristics of “internationalization” in the curriculum, teaching content, and practical components.
During the validation session, heads of the seven colleges delivered the presentations of their works in turn. The expert group, maintaining a rigorous and objective stance, focused on the orientation of training objectives, the structuring of the curriculum, the optimization of credit allocation, and the implementation of practical teaching, engaging in thorough questioning and discussion on these key aspects. In response to the issues identified in the revision of the programs, the experts put forward systematic and constructive suggestions for modification.
After thorough discussion, the seven enrollment colleges of Tashkent Campus NWAFU will continue to refine the details of their training programs based on the validation opinions from this meeting, ensuring a high-quality launch of postgraduate education and effectively enhancing the core competitiveness and social impact of NWAFU’s international education endeavors.
