On December 12, the College welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from the 2025 Winter Camp of the Tashkent Campus. Through a variety of activities such as classroom observation, teacher–student forums, and free sessions, an immersive learning and research platform was created for the Winter Camp participants, enabling them to experience the charm of the Chinese language and culture as well as the College’s distinctive teaching approaches. The event was attended by Pan Rui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College; Yang Xiaofeng, Dean of the College; Professor Wei Feng from the Russian Department; representatives of faculty members from various disciplines; and student volunteers.
Guided by faculty and students, the Winter Camp delegation first visited the teaching facilities and the multimedia learning center of the College of Language and Culture, gaining a close-up understanding of the College’s teaching environment and educational philosophy. They then observed classes in person, including an interpreting course taught by Dean Yang Xiaofeng and an English class delivered by a foreign instructor. Through this experience, they were exposed to interactive teaching models, and the vivid teaching examples and diverse instructional methods used in class proved highly rewarding for the Winter Camp teachers and students.

After the classroom observations, a teacher–student forum was held in Conference Room 7302 of the College. On behalf of the College, Dean Yang Xiaofeng extended a warm welcome to the teachers and students from the Tashkent Campus. He noted that the Winter Camp has provided a valuable platform for mutual exchange and learning, and expressed his hope that the participants from the Tashkent Campus would take this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of China and learn Chinese, allowing ideas to intersect and fostering the acquisition of knowledge and friendship through interaction. Representatives of faculty members from various disciplines and student volunteers shared sincere greetings with the Winter Camp teachers and students based on their own academic backgrounds and experiences, and wished everyone a fulfilling and enjoyable Winter Camp. Representatives of the Tashkent Campus also spoke in turn, expressing their expectations for the Winter Camp and their best wishes, as well as their hope to further study the Chinese language and culture and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the faculty and students of the College.
Following the forum, the Winter Camp participants engaged in free communications with faculty members and students of the College. Sitting together, they spoke freely on topics such as language learning, campus life, and cultural differences. Student volunteers from the College were also paired with Winter Camp students for one-on-one exchanges. The atmosphere was relaxed and cordial, filled with laughter, further bringing the participants closer together.

This Winter Camp study and exchange program of the Tashkent Campus represents an important initiative by the College of Language and Culture to advance international exchange and deepen inter-institutional cooperation. Looking ahead, the College will continue to uphold an open and inclusive educational philosophy, actively develop diversified international exchange platforms, and inject greater vitality into the cultivation of talents who possess both a strong sense of national responsibility and a global perspective.
