Frontiers in Management Theory and Practice, as one of the key English-taught courses offered by the College of Economics and Management, comprises a total of 32 class hours and aims to equip students with a solid foundation in management theory as well as strong practical skills. Professors Li Hua and Associate Professor Liang Hongsong have long been deeply engaged in the field of management and have achieved remarkable results. In preparation for this course, both instructors conducted thorough planning, centering on the theme of “Frontiers and Practice in Management.” They presented the latest theories in contemporary management in a clear and accessible manner, while integrating practical domestic and international case studies and designing a diverse range of teaching content and methods. During the course, the instructors used vivid case analyses and interactive discussions to guide students’ critical thinking, exploring the challenges and opportunities that enterprises face in a globalized context. This helped students broaden their international perspectives and enhance their awareness and ability in cross-cultural management. The classroom atmosphere was lively, with students actively participating and raising many insightful questions and viewpoints, demonstrating their strong interest in management and deep engagement with the subject. They gave high praise to the instructors’ teaching style and professional expertise. One Tashkent Campus student remarked, “This course gave me a completely new understanding of management. The instructors’ explanations were clear and easy to follow, and the cases were rich and practical. I gained a great deal from it, and it will be highly valuable for my future academic research and career development.”

At the Tashkent Campus, the two instructors overcame challenges such as language and cultural differences, using engaging explanations and interactive teaching methods to guide students in deeply understanding the core concepts, theoretical frameworks, and practical applications of management. The instructors noted that teaching at the Tashkent Campus was a rare opportunity for learning and exchange. Through interaction and collaboration with the faculty and students there, they not only gained a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan’s culture and educational environment but also acquired valuable teaching experience and insights. Meanwhile, Vice Rector Abduvasikov Abduaziz Abdulazizovich of Tashkent State Agrarian University gave high praise for their teaching performance.

As the first overseas branch of Northwest A&F University in Uzbekistan, the Tashkent Campus carries an important mission for educational cooperation between China and Uzbekistan. In the upcoming spring semester, instructors for the 2024 cohort of the Master of Agriculture (Agricultural Management) program will continue to travel to Tashkent to teach the fully English-taught core courses Resource and Environmental Economics III and Food Economics and Policy. With their passion for education and respect for China–Uzbekistan friendship, they will work together with the campus faculty and students to write a new chapter in China–Uzbekistan educational cooperation.
