On December 26, a seminar was held to exchange experiences on teaching work carried out by our university at the Tashkent Campus. More than 30 participants attended the meeting, including Han Juan, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School; Hu Xiaohui, Dean of the College of International Education, and Deputy Dean Kang Jile; Liu Jundi, Deputy Dean of the College of Economics and Management; Li Zheng, Deputy Dean of the College of Horticulture; as well as representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and faculty members from the College of Economics and Management and the College of Horticulture.

During the seminar, Liu Hanqiang from the College of Horticulture, speaking on behalf of the five teachers dispatched by our university to carry out professional teaching, shared their experiences of working and living at Tashkent State Agrarian University. Liu Hanqiang introduced Uzbekistan’s culture and history, its crop resources, and the development of Tashkent State Agrarian University. He also reported on the learning progress of the seven students from the Tashkent Campus who participated in the courses: in class, teachers and students engaged in active discussions, and after class, the teachers communicated further with students to better understand their learning. In addition to teaching, the instructors conducted field research at the Research Institute of Plant Genetic Resources of Uzbekistan and discussed cooperation on the introduction of germplasm resources. They also visited local fruit and vegetable markets to learn about current industry conditions. By participating in the local Harvest Festival and the “Agricultural Workers’ Day” celebrations, they gained a deeper understanding of local culture and regional customs. The teachers also engaged in interdisciplinary academic exchanges with faculty members from various departments of Tashkent State Agrarian University. This teaching program received attention and interviews from two major Uzbek media outlets. It was supported and highly valued by leaders of Tashkent State Agrarian University, including Vice Rector Abduvasikov Abduaziz Abdulazizovich, who fully recognized and praised the rigorous and dedicated work ethic of our faculty. During the seminar, participants also had extensive discussions on arrangements for next spring’s teaching schedule, improvements to teaching conditions, and matters related to visa processing.
Hu Xiaohui noted that this round of teaching activities has played a pioneering role in advancing agricultural education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. She emphasized the need to pay particular attention to teaching quality and to ensure the effective implementation of upcoming teaching tasks. Han Juan stated that educational exchange and cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the field of agricultural education carry great responsibility and honor. She stressed that everyone must attach high importance to the work and ensure the quality of teaching. She highlighted that teaching is the bottom line, and recruitment is the starting point, calling for mobilizing broader support to jointly promote cooperation and development.
