The 7th Shaanxi Province Silk Road Forum of Young Scholars - Northwest A&F University Sub-Forum and the 12th Northwest A&F University International Young Scholars Forum Sincerely Invites Outstanding Young Talents from Around the World to Participate


I. Introduction
Northwest A&F University plans to host the 7th Shaanxi Province Silk Road Forum of Young Scholars - Northwest A&F University Sub-Forum and the 12th Northwest A&F University International Young Scholars Forum in November 2025. Focusing on the cutting-edge international science and technology and innovation development trends, this forum will provide a high-level platform for showcasing academic achievements, a stage for the collision of frontier ideas, and a bridge for scientific research cooperation negotiation for outstanding young scholars worldwide through the forms of special-topic reports, academic discussions, field investigations, and communication seminars.

III. Invitation Targets
● Young talents from around the world who are interested in joining Northwest A&F University.
● Holders of a doctoral degree; generally not exceeding 40 years old in natural sciences and engineering technology fields, and not exceeding 45 years old in philosophy and social sciences fields. The age limit can be relaxed appropriately for those with particularly outstanding qualifications.
● Scholars whose research fields match the university’s disciplinary development needs, with prominent academic achievements and great potential for innovation and development.

IV. Benefits
Tenure: Formal public institution positions, incorporated into the university’s high-level talent development support system.
Salary: A competitive annual salary (350,000 - 700,000 yuan).
Research Support: Research funding of 300,000 - 4,000,000 yuan for natural sciences and engineering technology, and 200,000 - 1,500,000 yuan for humanities and social sciences.
Facilities: Provision of laboratories and offices that meet actual needs.
Talent Cultivation: Separate doctoral and master’s degree graduate student recruitment quotas.
Housing: A fully-owned housing unit of around 130 - 170 square meters, and a housing allowance of 100,000 - 400,000 yuan.
Family Care: Proper arrangement of spouses’ employment and resolution of children’s daycare and school enrollment (the affiliated kindergarten, primary school, and middle school are all provincial-level demonstration schools).

After registration, please stay in contact with the relevant college staff. Invited young scholars will receive an invitation email, and they are requested to submit their attendance confirmation to the respective college.
The forum does not charge any fees. During their visit, the university will cover accommodation and meals for invited scholars, and round-trip travel expenses can be reimbursed (up to RMB 5,000 for domestic participants).

Ⅶ. University Introduction
NWAFU is located in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, the birthplace of Chinese agricultural civilization and today’s National Agriculture High-tech Industrial Demonstration zone. The university is directly under the Ministry of Education and is a key institution of the former “Project 985” and “Project 211.” It was also among the first universities selected for the national initiative to build “World First-Class Universities and First-Class Disciplines”.
